Although my parents married young, started their careers and then had three children, making them the perfect nuclear, American family, I didn’t live the kind of white-picket-fence around a 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath house on two acres in the New England countryside kind of life during my growing up years. I’ve lived on both sides of the tracks and haven’t forgotten either perspective and I write with both sets of eyes.

I’m 25 and society has informed me that I’m supposed to have the attitude of thinking I know everything, but I’ve found that the only thing I do know is that I know nothing at all. I write because it helps me figure life out and I have a lot of that to do.
